Discussion on interfaith marriage

The Valley Interfaith Council will present a panel discussion of interfaith couples from 7 to 9 p.m. Sun., Feb. 11 at Temple Judea, 5429 Lindley Ave., Tarzana.

The couples on the panel include a Canadian Muslim and his wife who is a United Methodist and a Catholic and her Jewish husband. They will share stories of love and family in an interfaith relationship.

A rapidly increasing number of people are marrying across religious lines. In the U.S., at least 60 percent of Catholics between the ages of 18 and 38 are married to non-Catholics and 50 percent of recent Jewish marriages are to non-Jews.
