YESSIR!- Roger Chalfin is thanked by actor R. Lee Ermey for his work supporting the Veterans of Foreign Wars program that benefits families of troops deployed overseas.
Roger Chalfin, a high school junior at Wentworth Military Academy in Lexington, Mo., was recognized and thanked by actor R. Lee Ermey, host of television's "Mail Call," for his recent participation in the Veterans of Foreign War's "Unmet Needs" program, which raises money for the families of troops deployed overseas.

Wentworth cadets are spearheading a national effort to raise funds for the program.

Ermey, who has performed in more than 60 movies including "Full Metal Jacket" and "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning," spent two days on the Wentworth campus as the national spokesman for the "Unmet Needs" program.

Chalfin was also recognized for making the academy's honor roll. He is the son of Elaine Chalfin and Steven Chalfin, both of Agoura Hills.
