New retail center to be built in T.O.

IN STORE- Plans for a new retail building near the Thousand Oaks Auto Mall have been announced. The 10,000-square-foot project will sit on a one-acre parcel of land.
Plans for a new $6.5 million retail building in Thousand Oaks were announced by Tony Principe, president of Westcord Commercial Real Estate Services of Westlake Village, the brokers marketing the property.

Principe said the 10,000square-foot building will feature 32-foot-high ceilings, allowing it to accommodate 5,000- to 10,000squarefoot retail tenants. By adding a full second floor mezzanine, the facility would accommodate a 20,000square-foot furniture use.

The property is located near the Thousand Oaks Auto Mall and comprises nearly an acre of land between Westlake Boulevard and Hampshire Road, which is the busiest retail trade area in the city, Principe said.

Groundbreaking will be within the next two months, he said. The project is being developed by TR Funding of Westlake Village and was designed by Neal Scribner of Thousand Oaks.
