West Valley Jewish Center presents Shabbat songs, stories

"The Songs and Stories of Shabbat" is a musical tour through the sounds of Shabbat, the Jewish day of rest, and will be presented at 7 p.m. Thurs., Feb. 1 at the West Valley Jewish Community Center, 22622 Vanowen St., West Hills.

Benny Friedman, brother of Rabbi Eli Freidman of Chabad of Calabasas, is the lead vocal for the event. Rabbi Moshe Bryski, director of Chabad of the Conejo, will narrate the music.

The event is presented by Chabad of Calabasas and cosponsored by the Conejo Jewish Academy, the West Valley JCC and Chabad of West Hills.
