The city of Agoura Hills presents the following activities. For more information on these events or others, call the Agoura Hills Recreation Center at (818) 5977361 or stop by 30610 Thousand Oaks Blvd., Agoura Hills.

+Griffith Observatory trip for seniors with lunch at the Old Spaghetti Factory. Guests can look through the triple beam solar telescope, watch "The Once and Future Griffith Observatory," with paid admission to the Samuel Oschin Observatory featuring the star projector, Digistar 3 laser projection system, the dome, the opening show "Centered in the Universe" and more.

The excursion leaves from the Agoura Hills Recreation Center at 10:30 a.m. and returns at approximately 6 p.m. Tues., Jan. 30. Fee is $35 and includes bus transportation, entrance fees and lunch.

Participants in any senior activity must be registered members of the Agoura Hills Senior Center, which is $12 for the calendar year and entitles enrollment in all classes, activities, special events and excursions offered by the Senior Recreation Center.

+The Reyes Adobe Historical Site is open for docent-led public tours on the second Tuesday of each month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and on the second Saturday of each month from 1 to 4 p.m.

Public, educational and group programs are available throughout the year and offer a variety of ways to discover the region's legacy through guided tours, interactive exhibits and special events.

Suggested donations for the tour are adults $3, seniors $2, children 5 to 12 $1, and children under 5 are free.

The Reyes Adobe has joined other ranchos in Los Angeles and Ventura counties which help preserve early California history for educational and public programs.

In addition to donations of actual items for displays, the city would accept donations to purchase needed artifacts.
