Epiphany supports Adopt-A-Family services

BILL SPARKES/Acorn Newspapers LOVE THY NEIGHBOR- The congregation at Church of the Epiphany contributes to a number of charitable organizations.
The Church of the Epiphany in Oak Park sponsored 13 families last December through the Lutheran Social Services' Adopta-Family program by contributing $3,000 in gift cards for LSS to distribute.

The Episcopal church also contributed to other programs, such as providing new sweatshirts, toys and food for 300 children living in extreme poverty near Tijuana, Mexico.

The parish supports Habitat for Humanity, the Conejo Valley Job Training Program, Any Soldier Campaign, and Episcopal Relief and Development which gives assistance nationally and internationally in places suffering from war, poverty and/or natural disasters.

According to church representatives, "All of these programs serve to bring the good news of Christ to the world in tangible, life-giving ways."

The church is at 5450 Churchwood Drive. For more information, call (818) 991-4797 or visit www.tcote.org.
