After Mary Schiffer retired from a long career in the corporate world, she started The Inside Edge, providing full service custom matting and framing, including wall design, framed mirrors and conservation framing.

The Inside Edge is in Westlake Village and utilizes stateoftheart equipment, including a computerized mat cutting machine.

Schiffer believes each piece of art is unique. Her philosophy is to frame in an understated manner so as never to upstage the art.

Schiffer is a member of the board of directors for the Greater Los Angeles Area Chapter of the Professional Picture Framer's Association.
