Tour local movie locations

Harry Medved, co-author of "Hollywood Escapes," will lead a familyfriendly walking tour of locations seen in various Hollywood films from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Sun., Jan. 28 through Malibu Creek State Park, off Las Virgenes Road, three miles south of the 101 Freeway.

Calabasas' Malibu Creek State Park was formerly the 20th Century Fox Ranch. The walk along the park's main dirt road will feature places seen in "Planet of the Apes," "M*A*S*H," "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid," "Logan's Run" and "Pleasantville," among others.

Meet in the lower parking lot, in front of the grassy hill where "How Green Was my Valley" was filmed. The walk is free, but there is a parking fee at Malibu Creek.

At 5 p.m., Medved will show clips from the films and sign his book at the Barnes & Noble in the Calabasas Commons.
