Can't wait for new library

I was very proud to be part of the Calabasas Civic Center groundbreaking ceremony last Saturday. The community spirit was evident and everyone could feel the warmth of a small town gathering. It was wonderful to see this project come to life.

The Calabasas Historical Society has maintained an active role in the Calabasas City Library with the development of the Ruth Loring Memorial Collection of Southern California History.

The society has also provided the glass display case with monthly changing exhibits reflecting activities within our community. I look forward to the new expanded library facilities in 2008. Arlene E. Bernholtz
