Boy raises funds for pancreatic cancer research

Tyler Gastwirth, 12, of Oak Park, organized a community benefit to raise funds for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.

Tyler is conducting the project as part of his bar mitzvah in May. His grandfather passed away last year from pancreatic cancer.

During this benefit, BJ's Brewery will donate 15 percent of food sales between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. Mon., Jan. 22 to this cause. Participants must bring a copy of a flier with them to the restaurant to activate the donation.
