Animal shelter is appreciative

The staff and the volunteers at the Agoura Animal Shelter wish to thank the public for their very generous donations during the holiday season to homeless pets residing at the shelter. Every item donated will go a long way toward making each pet's stay at the shelter so much more comfortable.

We were overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and generosity for our homeless shelter animals and very much appreciate the constant support of our shelter program during the holidays and throughout the year.

A special thank you to two very kind ladies, Sharon Miller and Rebecca Arvizu, who wrote letters to The Acorn in support of our shelter, encouraging people to adopt a homeless pet and to donate to the shelter via our Wish Tree campaign.

And as always, thank you to The Acorn for supporting our shelter with Pet of the Week photos and for letting the public know when we have an event or fundraiser, or when we have a need as we did for washers and dryers when the last of our machines broke down.

We would not have the kind of program we do if it were not for the support we receive from so many. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, paws, beaks, hoofs, scales and claws. Your help does make a difference for homeless pets at the Agoura Animal Shelter.
