Marmonte League looks tough
Three girls' water polo teams ranked in top 10
      It's always tough to win a championship. Repeating is even more difficult. After winning the CIFSouthern Section Division II title last season, the Agoura High girls' water polo team will now try to repeat. The Chargers' path to the top spot, however, is perilous.

Lions tie CIF-Southern Section record with fifth consecutive title
OCHS routs Nordhoff, 52-7, to claim Northwest Division championship
      The Oaks Christian football team continued its assault on the California high school record books last Friday night in the CIFSouthern Section Northwest Division championship game. In rolling through Nordhoff 52-7 at Newbury Park High, the Lions (11-3), according to CalHiSports.

      The Acorn wasn't notified about the change of location for last week's Oaks Christian vs. Nordhoff High football playoff game until after the paper went to press. The game was moved from OCHS to Newbury Park High.

     JANN HENDRY/Acorn File Photo ON THE PROWL- Tiger Woods, above, is one of 16 players scheduled to compete in the Target World Challenge, which runs today through Sunday at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks. On Tuesday, Woods was named the Professional Golfers' Association Player of the Year for the ninth time in 11 years. Other notables in this weekend's field include Vijay Singh, Jim Furyk, Fred Couples and Colin Montgomerie.
