Senior Taylor Lord has helped revitalize the Agoura girls' basketball team
      The secret is out- Agoura High senior Taylor Lord is a pretty good basketball player. In her first year on the varsity squad last season, the 6foot forward/center averaged 16.7 points and 11 rebounds per game for the Chargers. With stats like that, Lord's coach doesn't expect her to fall under the radar again.

Ventura County Fusion holding tryouts
      The Ventura County Fusion, a Premier Development League team from the United Soccer League, will soon hold its opening round of tryouts for the 2008 season. Three tryout sessions will take place at the Ventura College SportsPlex at 4667 Telegraph Road in Ventura.

Oak Park players make no excuses, walk away with their heads held high
      Sean Westgate wasn't interested in the "what if" game. Westgate, the Oak Park High senior linebacker, had just suf fered his third postseason loss to Oaks Christian in four years, a frustrating 34-0 whitewashing last Friday night at OCHS in the CIFSouthern Section Northwest Division semifinal round.

CVU team reaches perfection on the pitch
     PERFECT SEASON- The Conejo Valley United U-13 soccer club completed a 14-0 season in the Coast Soccer League, winning the division title. The team scored 68 goals and allowed only 10. Team members are from Agoura, Oak Park, Thousand Oaks, Moorpark and Simi Valley. Home-schooled hoops players sought
      Liberty Christian Academy is announcing the start of its 2008 basketball season for boys in the ninth grade (13 or 14 years old). LCA will play against other home school and Christian teams in the area and will also compete in seasonal tournaments.
