Preschool celebrates anniversary

Born Learners School of Agoura Hills recently celebrated its 28th anniversary. The preschool and kindergarten at 28348 Agoura Road, has served the community since 1979.

Owner/director Bea Elliott began the school with Linda Huss. Both women were speech and language therapists in the public schools. They wanted to start an early childhood education program that centered on the development of the whole child. Elliott has run the school by herself since 1997.

Michele Hill of Agoura Hills said, "During my child's elementary school conference, the teacher asked where my daughter had attended preschool. She commented that the students from Born Learners always came into the classroom wellprepared."
