Resolve to pick up the trash

At least once a month I pick up trash along Kanan Road from Cornell to Agoura Road. I usually manage to bend over at least 125 times picking up bottles, cans, plastic bags and other assorted items dumped by people who don't care about the ugly sight. There are lots of horn honkers passing by to give me the thumbs up sign, so I guess they noticed how nice this area looks after one of my cleanups.

I hope other members of the community will feel free to stop and pick up litter wherever the site is too overrun with trash. It would also be nice if some of the day workers waiting for jobs would take a little walk up the road to clean up the area when they aren't getting picked up for work. In fact, I think it would be a good idea if potential employers of these day workers would choose the ones who are actively cleaning up along the roadside.

Wouldn't it be nice if some people would make a New Year's resolution to come out and get some free exercise instead of joining a gym? Norm Pangracs Agoura Hills
