Oak Park, Oaks Christian to face off in CIF-SS football playoffs for the fourth time in five years
      It had to end this way. It almost always does. For the eighth time since 2003, and the fourth occasion in the playoffs during the same span, the Oak Park (9-3) and Oaks Christian (9-3) football teams will meet on the gridiron, this time in a CIFSouthern Section Northwest Division semifinal showdown Friday night at 7:30 at OCHS.

Lions cross country team runs away with state title
     Photo courtesy of Leigh Fleming FAST TRACK- The Oaks Christian girls' cross country team finished in first place in Division IV at last weekend's CIF State Cross Country Championships in Woodward Park in Fresno. The Lions finished with 149 points, edging St. Mary's (158) and La Reina (167). It was the program's first state title. Calabasas wants to run
Boys' basketball team, led by the ultra-talented Evan Smith, is quick, athletic
      As the Calabasas High boys' basketball practice came to a close Tuesday, head coach Jim Nielsen ordered his team to do one thing before leaving: make 50 free throws. "Not take 50 free throws, but make 50 free throws," the secondyear coach said.

     A coastal fog and cool temperatures made running conditions nearly perfect for the CIF-SS Cross Country Finals last Saturday at Mount San Antonio College in Walnut.
