Conejo Players open two comedies
      Conejo Players Theatre in Thousand Oaks will present two classic comedies this fall. •"You Can't Take It With You" will run from Nov. 15 through Dec. 15. Showtimes are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., with 2 p.m. matinees on Sunday Nov. 18 and Dec. 9.

Play reading at Theatricum Botanicum
      Botanicum Seedlings will present a play reading at 2 p.m. at the Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum, 1419 N. Topanga Canyon Blvd., Topanga. "Yard Sale Signs" by Jennie Webb will be presented Nov. 11. The show takes place in a clothing store dressing room. It is directed by Randee Trabitz.

Shakespeare's plays live at Oak Park High School

      Drama teacher Allan Hunt tries to make the plays of William Shakespeare fun for his students at Oak Park High School. "I'm always happy to see how kids come to love" Shakespeare, said Hunt, who directs the school's annual fall Shakespeare production. He said students sometimes "come wary" to the show, but when it's over they ask, "when is the next one?
