Stop picking on Heschel West "You're killing me Larry!" (Brown) as the mattress commercial goes. If you could only turn your vitriolic prose for the purposes of good not evil. Can you not find anything in Agoura that makes you happy? Your Oct. 11 letter to the editor was so filled with double-speak and, as my kids would say, "big words," that it made no sense. The only thing I could get from your letter to the editor was that, for the first time, you were resigned to the fact that Heschel West is going to happen. At what point will Old Agoura, which is seeing its voter base erode as the ranch hands sell out and the yuppies move in, actually come and sit down at the negotiations table to iron out their differences in a spirit of openness? And when is the Agoura City Council going to sit down with Heschel West? Why do you continue to try and browbeat us? Why is the density of Heschel West wrong and the density of Agoura Village and Triangle Ranch right? There is a guy, Michael E. Forney, who is running for Agoura City Council. He has no ties to Heschel, at all. Instead of me telling you why I am supporting him, why don't you give him a look at MichaelEForney.com. I also wanted to give a plug for Jill Gaines who is running for school board. See, Heschel West parents can also support our public schools and even vote for taxes to help our schools knowing that our kids might never be attending those schools where the benefit will be realized. That is true support of a community and not just NIMBYism. Ian H. Taras Agoura Hills |
