Dogs help kids read

BUDS- Rachel Weiss, 5, of Westlake Village gives a hug of appreciation to Esther, a Paws for Life dog. Children were invited to read to the dog as part of the Westlake Village Library's "Reading to the Dogs" program, which allows children to read to a furry, nonjudgmental listener. Rachel is in first grade at White Oak Elementary School.
