Westlake Village preps for city celebration

The fifth annual Westlake Village City Celebration is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sun., Oct. 28 at the Westlake Village Civic Center, 31200 Oak Crest Drive.

A variety of activities will be offered for the whole family. For more information, call City Hall at (818) 706-1613 or visit www.wlv.org.

•The Triunfo YMCA and Optimist Club hosts an allyoucaneat breakfast with pancakes, sausage and orange juice for $4 from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.

•While Oak Elementary School PFC presents a Fun Fair with inflatables, train ride, rock climbing wall and game booths from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. New this year is a mechanical bull and robo-surfer.

•The Pumpkin Runs feature a 5K, 10K and 1-mile fun run/walk that start and finish at the Civic Center. All runners receive a free pancake breakfast and Fun Fair ride ticket. For information or to sign up, call (818) 707-8867 or visit www.active.com.

•The Triunfo YMCA Teen Program spooks out with a Grated Haunted House in the Community Room. The event will help support YMCA teens.

•The celebration concludes with a free Halloween-themed magic show at 3 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.
