Man in hat deserves pat on the back


RESCUE RANGER- Gary, a 2-year-old Abyssinian, looks none too happy as he is rescued by a Ventura County firefighter last week. Gary, who is named after SpongeBob SquarePants' pet snail, was stuck in the tree for several hours in the hot sun before firefighters brought the hook and ladder to reach him.
