Conejo Players presents Caribbean 'Little Mermaid'
      Conejo Players Theatre will present "Once on this Island Jr." weekends from Oct. 6 to Oct. 14. Shows are at 1 and 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, with a Friday performance at 7 p.m. Oct. 12. A Caribbean adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's "The Little Mermaid," the musical was written by Lynn Ahrens with music by Stephen Flaherty.

'Movin' Out' based on Billy Joel's music
      The Tony award-winning musical "Movin' Out" will play from Oct. 9 through 14 at the Kavli Theatre, Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 Thousand Oaks Blvd. The show is choreographed and directed by Twyla Tharp, based on 24 songs by Billy Joel.

      Charles Dickens began writing "The Mystery of Edwin Drood," but died before he finished the book, leaving no notes of how he intended it to end. Playwright Rupert Holmes wasn't stopped by a little thing like a missing ending. He created a musical wherein the audience is asked to vote on the conclusion.
