Agoura Hills

Someone stole a purse containing Spanish bank cards, a Spanish ID card and $400 in cash from a locked room at the Renaissance Hotel on Agoura Road Aug. 18. A $300 watch and $350 worth of Euro currency were also stolen.

Someone installed a "skimmer" on a gas pump at the USA Gas Station at the corner of Kanan and Agoura roads between Aug. 1 and Aug. 15. A "skimmer" is a device used to read magnetic strips off credit cards and steal credit card information from customers

Vandals caused $300 in damages to the window of a vehicle parked on Thousand Oaks Boulevard Aug. 13.

Someone stole an $1,800 rifle from a gun store on Cornell Road. The theft occurred between September and October last year but the victim didn't report the incident until now because he was waiting to see if the gun would return.

Calabasas

Burglars stole a $2,000 laptop computer and $20 in cash from the lifeguard station office of the CalabasasTennis and Swim Center Aug. 19.

Thieves stole a $1,000 GPS device, three CD cases containing $1,600 worth of CDs, a $175 MP3 player and other accessories valued at about $500 from a vehicle parked on Ambridge Drive Aug. 19.

Someone stole a $400 purse containing a wallet, a driver's license and bank cards from a vehicle parked on Lost Hills Road Aug. 17.

Vandals caused $400 in damages when they smashed the rear window of a vehicle parked by a home on Park Sorrento Aug. 17. The culprits also caused $100 in damages to two windows

Thieves stole $1,500 in cash and a watch valued at $1,500 from a residence on Defender Drive Aug. 15.

Burglars caused $350 in damages to gain entry into a home on Ticonderoga Road Aug. 14. Nothing of value was reported stolen.

Someone stole a purse containing a passport, keys, two digital cameras and a cellphone from the Baja Fresh restaurant on Calabasas Parkway Aug. 13.

Oak Park

Two unlocked vehicles were burglarized the night of Aug. 17, one in the 4900 block of Kilburn Court and the other in the 6300 block of Tamarind Street.

A locked vehicle was broken into and burglarized on Aug. 19 or 20 in the 5100 block of Evanwood.

Westlake Village

A resident of Bowspirit Court whose car was broken into in June reported that the thieves have been forging her checks. The culprits wrote about $1,000 worth of checks to several stores in July.

Vandals caused about $400 in damages to sprinkler heads in an area between Summer Shore and Ridgeford drives Aug. 3.
