Plein Air Exhibit flies through Maritime Museum

The Ventura County Maritime Museum will hold an opening reception for its annual Plein Air Festival and Exhibit from 3 to 6 p.m. Sat., Aug. 18 at the museum, 2731 S. Victoria Ave., Oxnard. The festival runs through Sun., Sept. 30.

The artwork on display features scenes painted with nautical themes at such places as the Port of Hueneme, Fisherman's Wharf and the Marine Emporium in Channel Islands Harbor.
