There's gotta be more to the story
I was surprised that The Acorn gave Brad Wear's dispute with the Sherwood Homeowners Association as much print as it did. I'd be even more surprised if The Acorn deemed any followup letters worthy of publishing. More ...
Ignorance of CC&Rs is no excuse
Regarding the article last week "Too many pets rattle the cage," it's interesting to note that someone who can afford to move into Lake Sherwood can claim that they didn't know that the CC&Rs (covenants, conditions and restrictions) had limits on the amount of pets. More ...

Condos planned for scenic corridor
At the last Calabasas City Council meeting, Barry Groveman, Dennis Washburn and Jon Wolfson voted to approve 86 condos in massive three-story buildings along Las Virgenes Road, a designated scenic corridor, adding 504 new car trips per day. More ...
Condos are wrong
On Aug. 1, the Calabasas City Council voted 3-2 to approve an 86-unit condominium complex to be developed on Las Virgenes Road. More ...
Freedom ends where the rights of others begin
Your editorial on no-smoking law ends in a terrible fashion. Nonsmokers should never have to bear smelling the smoke of others. I agree that people should be able to smoke in their homes, residences and other areas where a relaxing smoke feels pretty good as long as nonsmokers do not have to breathe their smoke. More ...
