Disagrees with Acorn faith columnist

It's one thing to be spiritual and have the freedom to impart one's personal definitions of enlightenment publicly, but it's another thing to imply that said enlightenment is of a religion one does not belong to. I refer to Mr. Dennis Merritt Jones' quotations of Christian scripture to amplify his non-Christian philosophies in the July 19 Acorn.

Quoting Hebrew 11:1 and James 2:26 in support of preaching that we all come from and then return to a "divine essence," are evolving beings and that God is life instead of love are not, repeat, not Christian beliefs, and it was very dishonest of Mr. Jones to suggest otherwise. Kathryn Durfee Cornell
