Big Brothers Big Sisters pay tribute to volunteers

      Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County honored several adult and teenage mentors as "Bigs of the Year" at two Camarillo ceremonies recently. Through several countywide programs, the organization matches an older mentor with a child.

Outdoor movie screenings offer simple, free family fun to community

Popcorn sales at the event benefitted Kirstie's school. Right, Wes Patton and Ben Blake, both 15 and residents of Agoura, keep themselves amused while waiting for a screening of "Big" to begin. The comedy was recently shown at Reyes Adobe Park.
