Sheri Reingold, a teacher of the Australian-developed Simply Music program, has students ages 6 to adult playing contemporary, blues and classical music from their very first lessons.

Reingold is holding free introductory sessions through August and is offering a special five-year anniversary discount to people of all ages who reserve a space by Aug. 24.

Reingold guarantees students that they will be playing at least eight to 10 songs with both hands in the first three months of lessons.

According to Reingold, Simply Music students play immediately because the program uses an easier and more natural approach to piano by temporarily delaying the reading process.

Reingold said traditional methods insist that students learn to read music as the means of learning how to play.
