Cellphone towers poorly situated
      Even as a T-Mobile customer it is hard for me to fathom what benefit T-Mobile and its subscribers will derive from a cell tower placed at Bon Homme Road and Paul Revere Drive. This is an extremely hilly area. The actual number of people who will use this eyesore is minuscule.

      What does it say about a city that will install a traffic light at a place called Headwaters Corner? "Headwaters" signifies an environmentally sensitive habitat area worthy of protection. The Calabasas City Council waves the environmental flag in public, yet they consistently condone the exemption of the California Environmental Quality Act.

      Is this the home of the free? Apparently not if one lives off of Paul Revere Drive in Calabasas. About 9 p.m. on July 4, I was returning home from a friend's house.

No need to be rude about it!
      Since it is summer, you can expect to see families outside, people visiting with neighbors and kids playing with friends during the evening hours. Many parents have found themselves having to signal to drivers in residential neighborhoods to slow down in the presence of kids.

Demise of our culture is to blame
      This letter is in response to Carrie Rackow's letter of July 5. She states: 'The Bush administration has been systematically destroying the foundation that this great nation was built on." Carrie, I don't think it's the Republicans that have destroyed our foundation.
