'Random series of events' brings seminarian to new church
      Two years ago, Rich Gregory was knee-deep in his studies at Fuller Theological Seminary. He squeezed in triathlon training when he wasn't studying or working at a local church or looking after his 1-year-old son. Churches host multicultural event in L.A.
      Members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and Reformed Church in America will come together to celebrate diversity at the "Spirit of Wholeness in Christ: a Racial Ethnic Multicultural Event" today, July 12, through Sun., July 15 in Los Angeles.

St. Paul welcomes new pastor
      St. Paul Lutheran Church in Agoura Hills installed its new pastor, the Rev. Matthew Nolte, on July 1. Nolte graduated from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Mo., in May and was ordained at his home church in Enid, Okla. last month.
