L.A. hiring remains strong
      Los Angeles area employers expect to hire at a respectable pace in third quarter 2007, according to the Manpower Employment Outlook Survey. From July to September, 28 percent of the companies interviewed plan to hire more employees, while 9 percent expect to reduce their payrolls, according to Manpower spokesperson Lee Fossey.

Acura 101 acquires Mercedes
      Sonic Automotive, the owner of Acura 101 West, has acquired Calabasas Mercedes Benz. The announcement came from Joe Donato, Acura 101 West marketing manager. As of July 1 the Mercedes dealership's new general manager is Rich Neswick, and general sales manager is Darren Richie.
