Loving pit bull needs a new home
When Maya and Mika Harari found the abandoned female pit bull in their neighborhood of Monte Nido in Calabasas, they named her Sprinkles. Their mother, Dalit, allowed them to take her in for three weeks before they had to put her in the Agoura Animal Shelter.
The dog stayed there for one week before being transferred to Karma Rescue, based in Santa Monica, whose volunteers told the Harari family that they'd found a home for Sprinkles.
Unfortunately, the new family will soon be moving out of the country and can no longer keep Sprinkles, so she is back at Karma Rescue.
Carol LaCorte, a neighbor of the Hararis, said that Sprinkles has "a loving, calm temperament," is not aggressive to other dogs and is easy to bathe. She's young and has been spayed. "She really, really needs a good family to love," said LaCorte.
To meet Sprinkles, call Cassian at Karma Rescue, (310) 512-7833.
