Kingsmen to perform outdoors
      The Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival will present "Two Gentlemen of Verona" and "King Lear" at 8 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from June 29 through Aug. 5 on the CLU campus, 60 W. Olsen Road in Thousand Oaks. The grounds will open at 5:30 p.m. for picnicking and pre-show entertainment with musicians, dancing, juggling and swordfighting demonstrations.

Stage Door auditioning for male role in 'Tender Trap'
      Stage Door Theatre in Agoura Hills is seeking a male actor for the cast of "The Tender Trap," now in rehearsal. The role is for supporting character Earl Lindquist, age 25 to 30. The show is a romantic comedy set in 1950s New York. The character is the head of a lab that tests new pharmaceuticals. He's in love with his lab assistant, Julie, but is awkward with girls.

      Twentyeight competitive dancers, ages 7 to 17, with the Agoura Hills Dance and Performing Arts Center have qualified to compete next month in the national championships of the New York City Dance Alliance.

      Nonprofit performing arts groups scheduled to perform at either of the theaters in the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza during the 200708 season may submit grant applications to the Alliance for the Arts Programming/ Allocations Committee.
