Bleacher hogs spoiled grad day

I wanted to write you and tell you how proud I was of my son on his graduating day at Agoura High School on Fri., June 15. The only thing that ruined one of the biggest days in my life was the way the seating was handled.

After waiting in line for over one hour in the blazing heat we were ushered to our seats where a little girl no more than 12 to14 years old was saving over two rows of seats for her supposed family, for a total of 15 seats.

My brother and I were very upset as there was nowhere to sit after climbing the bleachers. We asked her politely if we could just have two seats and she said no, these are reserved for her family. Her family turned out to be 10 little friends of hers under the age of 14 and two adults. I felt this was not right at all. The front row had also taken 10 seats.

I feel as a parent that each family should have been limited to four to six seats. A little girl bringing her friends is not acceptable.

May I also mention these children or teenagers brought excessive balloons, air horns and a beach ball which they threw when their friend graduated.

There has to be a better way to do this for the future. Bobbi Green Agoura Hills
