      The Tri-Valley League has announced its AllLeague selections for the spring sports season. Here's a list of the local names who were recognized for their performances this year: Baseball First Team: Blair Walters, Mitch Halpert, Ty Muller and Zach Granowitz of Oak Park; Tommy Grillo, Jason Brooks and Mark Gose of Oaks Christian.

Thunder rolls to a championship
     THUNDER THRILLS- The Westlake-Agoura Girls Softball (WAGS) U-8 Thunder capped an undefeated weekend at the Moorpark June Jamboree Tournament with a 15 -6 victory in the title game against Moorpark. The team is off to a strong start this All-Star season with a 9-3 overall record. Pictured in the front row from left to right are Hannah Bartolomea, Taylor Burns, Carlee Gilbert and Julia Noskin. Primm wins national title
      Cory Primm, a 2007 graduate of Westlake High, finished a storied high school track career when he won the boys' 800meter title at the Nike Outdoor Nationals at North Carolina A&T in Greensboro, N.C. The UCLA-bound senior ran a time of 1:48.63, a new personal best. Primm held on to beat James Gilbreath of Bartlett, Tenn.

      According to head coach Bill Redell, two more Oaks Christian football players have committed to college programs. Wide receiver Chris Potter will attend Boise State. Offensive lineman Trace Biskin has agreed to sign with Arizona.
