Find out about scholarships

National College Planners presents free workshops on how to get thousands of dollars to help pay for college. The workshop will be at 10:45 a.m. Sat., July 7 at the Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library, 1401 E. Janss Road; and 7:30 p.m. Mon., July 9 at the Simi Valley Library, 2969 Tapo Canyon Road.

Discussion topics include how to send youth to the school of their dreams without going broke; how to triple aid eligibility; how to find scholarships and grants; and how to avoid the increasing prevalence of college scholarship scams.
