Celebrities spice up Viewpoint fundraiser

NIGHT TO REMEMBER- The stars came out to help Viewpoint School in Calabasas host its 24th annual benefit and auction at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in May. Viewpoint School of Calabasas hosted its 24th annual benefit and auction, Stars Over Viewpoint, on May 12 in the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

The event included a celebrity poker tournament, silent and live auctions, gourmet dining and entertainment, which helped to raise $1 million for the school's operating budget and to the construction of a new secondary school library.

Brad Garrett and Ray Romano acted as masters of ceremony.

Other entertainers were Jean Smart, Sean Hayes, Ricky Schroder, Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr., Doris Roberts, Tommy Lasorda, Miss America 2007 Lauren Nelson, Debbie Allen and the Debbie Allen Dance Academy, Kathie Lee Gifford, Kathy Ireland and Michael Feinstein, who performed with a group of Viewpoint students.

Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, announced the school's Benefactors' Award to honorees Sam and Mary Haskell.
