This letter is in response to The Acorn's articles of June 7 and June 14 relating to the recent pedestrian and bicycle accidents in the area. As a result of your reportings, one is left with the distinct impression that it was solely the pedestrian's or bicyclist's fault for being hit. More ... As a bicyclist who rides regularly thru Agoura, I can testify that a small minority of drivers have no brain activity due to cyclists or any thing else for that matter. While this may very well have been the case, it is at least equally possible that the motorist was inattentive, distracted, or a plain bad driver. More ... My name is Doug Ridley and I am a partner in an Agoura Hills law firm. My firm is a member of both the Agoura Hills Chamber of Commerce and the Calabasas Chamber of Commerce. I am also on the board of directors for the Calabasas Chamber of Commerce and I will serve as the chairman of that Chamber in 2008. More ... Legions of volunteers have made The Wellness Community Valley/Ventura and our free programs of support, education and hope a reality since we first opened our doors 16 years ago. "Celebration of Life" included several events in commemoration of National Cancer Survivors Day, including the Celebration of Life 16th anniversary Gala. More ... Letters RSS feed |
