Youth can explore church vocations at event
      The 16th annual Invitation to Service will be from Thurs., Aug. 2 to Sat., Aug. 4 at California Lutheran University, 60 W.Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks. The event offers youth and young adults ages 15 to 25 the opportunity to explore the roles of pastors, missionaries, deacons, music ministers and youth ministers.

Jewish day school puts on a play
      The students of the Conejo Jewish Day School will present an original musical at 7 p.m. Wed. and Thurs., June 13 and 14, at the Class Act Musical Theatre, 5345 Wilhelmina Ave., Woodland Hills. In the play, the miserable residents of Golus Town seem miraculously changed now that Chani has arrived with her famous chicken soup.
