Calabasas High School presents musical
      Calabasas High School will present "Urinetown, The Musical" at 7 p.m. tonight, Thurs., May 24, to Sat., May 26 at the school theater, 22855 Mulholland Highway, Calabasas. The show is set in a town plagued by drought, where water has become so scarce private toilets are outlawed.

Stage Door hosts play reading of 'The Bickersons'
      The Stage Door Theatre will present a play reading based on the popular radio show, "The Bickersons," at 7 p.m. Sun., May 27 at the theater, 28311 Agoura Road, Agoura Hills. The show is produced and directed by Bill Martyn, with Nancy Solomons and Tim Holtwick as the famous couple.

Folk singer to perform at Bodie House
      Concerts at the Bodie House in Agoura Hills will present Rosalie Sorrels at 8 p.m. Sat., June 2. The cost is a $15 donation, with all proceeds going to the musician. A free dessert/appetizer bar is provided, and food contributions are appreciated.

Fantastic flautists
      MAGIC FLUTES- Julie Wang of Oak Park High School, along with Christy Kim and Ty Farrell, both seniors at Westlake High, will perform in recital along with members of the Conejo Valley Flute Society at 2 p.m. Sun., June 10 at Westlake High School, 100 N. Lakeview Canyon Road, Westlake Village.

Season opens for Fairy Tales in the Park
      The Gypsies in a Trunk will perform "Witch Switch," an original play combining the stories of "Rapunzel" and "Hansel and Gretel," in parks around the county as part of its 13th season of free Fairy Tales in the Park.

Visual arts committee taking show entries
      The Ventura County Arts Council Visual Arts Committee has announced that applications are available for the 2007 County Government Center Juried Competition. Artists in Ventura, Los Angeles and Santa Barbara counties are invited to submit up to three pieces of original work for consideration in the fifth annual Open Juried Show.
