Healthy bake sale a success
      The inaugural Healthy Snack Bake Sale at Brookside Elementary in Oak Park on May 10 raised $250. Among the items offered were fruit kebabs, watermelon slices, homemade zucchini and carrot muffins, frozen bananas and juice bars, popcorn and trail mix.

Gymnastics puts kids in winning mood
      The Monarchs National Gymnastics Training Center's Rhythmic Team recently won honors at a recent competition in San Diego. Brigita Budginas, 8, of Agoura Hills will go on to Region 1 at the Level 4 and 5 National Competition in Boston, May 25 to 27.

Wrapping up the relay
      TOP PLEDGE RAISER- Agoura Hills Mayor Dan Kuperberg addresses the audience at the recent American Cancer Society Relay for Life fundraiser. The city of Agoura Hills team raised $18,732, the highest total of any single team. Sally Schneider, a city planner, brought in the most pledges as an individual with $3,125 in donations.
