Temple to host series on effective parenting

Temple Beth Haverim will present part one in its "Raising a Mensch" series at 7:30 p.m. Thurs., May 31 in the chapel at 2 9 9 0 0 Ladyface Court, Agoura Hills. "Mensch" is a Yiddish word meaning "a good person" or "a role model."

"Raising Good Kids in a Complicated Age" panelists include Bette Alkazian, a licensed marriage and family therapist; Dr. Erica Miller; and Rabbi Gershon Weissman. They will discuss teaching values and setting limits.

The event is for parents of children ages 6 to 16.
