Kanan interchange sparks controversy
<!-- Page Number: 4--> Am I the only morning commuter who thinks the new Kanan Road traffic lanes for entering the southbound 101 freeway aren't working? It now takes longer than ever to get on the southbound 101, as traffic backs up north of Canwood to get into the single right lane.

More thoughts about Kanan
<!-- Page Number: 4--> For Mother's Day, my wife wanted me to write a letter to The Acorn on behalf of all her friends who think that the new Kanan exchange is a travesty. This is a dangerous area that too long has been ignored.

There is no way to describe the terror, shock and trauma that occurred in trying to save my baby's life, feeling helpless to get someone to respond to our cries.

District's members should be elected
<!-- Page Number: 6--> Why should the rate payers of Triunfo Sanitation District have three appointed board members and only two directly elected ones? That means that decisions can be made about rates and projects by people who do not even live in the district.

Our final category is famous water tank sites
<!-- Page Number: 8--> Just in case you're asked on a game show, "Which would be a better replacement water tank choice for Oak Park, proposed site A7 or A8," here is a cheat sheet of the least impactful options provide by the Triunfo Sanitation District's April 2007 study.
