Synagogue to celebrate Shavuot
      <!-- Page Number: 31--> Temple Beth Haverim will usher in the Festival of Shavuot (Feast of Weeks or Pentecost) with "Tikkun Layl Shavuot" at 6:30 p.m. Tues., May 22 at the home of Rabbi Gershon and Sheva Weissman. The festival celebrates the giving of the Torah on Mt. Sinai and is also called "Yom Habikkurim," the day of the first fruits and harvest.
