Students win at county science fair
Projects study global warming, greenhouse gas
Local students received awards from the Air Pollution Control District at the 2007 Ventura County Science Fair last month. Philip Shao of Westlake High School earned first place for his project, "A Correlation Study of Global Temperature Change." Kirklann Lau of Sequoia Middle School in Newbury Park received third place for "The Effects of Greenhouse Gases on Climates of the Earth." Keith Duval, district senior manager and science fair judge, said, "It was interesting to judge this year because all of the air quality projects but one were on global climate change, a first for us." |
