LVUSD seeks curriculum council members

Three positions are available on the Las Virgenes Unified School District's Curriculum Council. Applicants must reside in the district's attendance area to serve a two-year term ending June 2009.

Deadline for filing applications is 4 p.m. Fri., June 8.

Those applying should have a strong interest in curriculum and instruction in the school district.

Council members attend eight meetings per year from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month from October through May. They may be asked to serve on a subcommittee.

The council is an advisory committee addressing issues that impact the curriculums offered at the elementary, middle and high school levels. Recommendations are made to the board of education.
