Time to learn first aid

The city of Agoura Hills Department of Community Services will offer a first aid course from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thurs., May 15 at the Agoura Hills Recreation Center, 30610 Thousand Oaks Blvd., Agoura Hills.

The session will cover sudden illness, seizures, bleeding, burns, poisoning, snake bites, nose bleeds, bee stings and Epi-pen use. Students will receive a first aid booklet, poison control stickers and an American Red Cross three-year certification card upon completion of the course.

The cost for the class is $30, plus a $15 nonrefundable fee payable to the instructor.
