Borenstein makes a move

Move, Inc. (Nasdaq: MOVE), the Westlake Village-based home solutions provider, has named Lorna Borenstein as the company's new president.

Reporting to Chief Executive Officer Mike Long, Borenstein will have full profitandloss responsibility and lead day-to-day business operations, engineering, marketing and product development for the company.

"After an extensive search, we chose Lorna due to her rare combination of demonstrated entrepreneurial, operational, product and marketing talents," Long said.

Prior to holding a number of executive positions at Yahoo!, Borenstein served as vice president and general manager for eBay, the largest online trading community. Borenstein was hired to launch eBay's Canadian business.

In 2002 Borenstein was voted one of Canada's Power 50, the ranking of Canada's top businesswomen.

Let's Get Cookin' in Westlake Village has won the International Association of Culinary Professionals' Award of Excellence for avocational cooking schools.

The awards were given out at the annual IACP conference on Sat., April 14 in Chicago along with cookbook awards.

Let's Get Cookin' has offered cooking classes with chefs, cookbook authors and cooking teachers for the past 23 years.

The store serves cooks seeking high-end cooking gadgets, cookbooks and gourmet foods.
