Calabasas High senior named Presidential Scholars semifinalist

Michael B. Liu Michael B. Liu, a graduating senior at Calabasas High School, has been named a semifinalist in the 2007 Presidential Scholars Program.

About 550 semifinalists were selected from more than 2,700 candidates based on achievements, leadership, character and involvement in community and school activities.

Final selection of the scholars will be announced this month. Scholars will be invited to Washington, D.C., in June to receive the Presidential Scholars medallion and to participate in activities and events held in their honor.
