Chorus makes first place

Channelaire Chorus earned first-place gold medals at the Sweet Adeline regional competition held recently in Bakersfield.

This win, their fourth since 2001, allows the chorus to represent the region at an international competition scheduled for Honolulu, Hawaii in 2008.

The singers were evaluated on sound, expression, music and showmanship.

Channelaire Chorus, a registered chapter of Sweet Adelines International, was organized in Ventura County in 1962 and has more than 100 members.
